Sometimes it seems like Jack Sparling drew just about every adventure title Dell published after the split with Western Publishing. Makes me wonder how many pages he was cranking out on a daily basis.

Like Reinman at Archie and Tallarico at Charlton for awhile. Low page rate so crank out lots of pages

Well, for mine, Tallarico couldn't draw, [ I know I could do better] and Reinman's work was lacking any style and energy. The first time I became aware of Reinman was his dreadful version of the Shadow for MLJ and his dull work on Mighty Crusaders.  I always was disappointed by Jack Sparling's work when I saw it, but then I was also looking at Kirby, Ditko, Wood, Gil Kane and their ilk. Sparling could certainly draw and his anatomy is always excellent, but he should have had a regular inker, because his inking is what makes his work look shoddy. I've revised my opinion of his work upward since I've been exposed to more of his work on CB+.
Toby's Return of the Outlaw #1 was just posted. https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=73300
If you want to see how good Sparling could be, check the second story, 'Outlaws Code'. I spotted it as Sparling straight away, and sure enough GCD confirms it.
Cheers!

It's true... Sparling was talented when he wanted to be -- when he took his time. On the other hand, it seems like he was a firm believer in the mathematics of economics, and he wasn't going to waste a minute more time on a page of comic art than the page rate dictated -- if he wasn't being paid a decent page rate, he'd simply have to make up the difference by volume, spending less time on each individual page, and hacking them out at speed.

His work on Toby-Minoan's PIN-UP PETE was a real eye-opener for me:
