Andrew999, Thanks for drawing my attention to this,
The Art and story is excellent. I wouldn't call it a Famous Five knock-off, more like a clone. It has many elements common to the original FF (!). Anybody denigrating the Famous Five gets an argument from me - English children's stories in general are not at the top of my list, but I devoured all the Famous Fives. Blyton is seriously underrated as a storyteller.
I have a female friend of similar age who is a Huge 'Harry Potter' fan and has read all the books (and a Blyton fan). I've seen the films, but not read the books. I asked my friend what was Rowling's secret, what made the Potter books so readable? She answered, 'Read the Famous Five and you'll see.' And that's a sign of a good writer or Artist, other creators will crib your stuff.
This will be the first 'Schoolgirl library' that I will download. Thanks again!
