Yeah, I can’t believe that cover got past the editor – but the Condor artwork inside is Fine. Neat that the city is referred to as The Metropolis, thereby sidestepping any copyright issues. The Wizard of Oz style ending was fun

The art on most scripts was timid but Alias the Spider impressed – good use of the twelve-panel page to pull the story along.

Some useful fashion tips from Jane Arden before scurrying through the pages to Madam Fatal, the cross-dressing G-Man (must have picked up some tips from Hoover). Unfortunately, Madam Fatal hadn’t read Jane’s fashion tips.

Some more comic capers and then The Clock clocks in. There’s no time to lose as the timeless pair of Brian and Pug are alarmed by the face of the Skull Gang. The pendulum swings one way and then the other before the Clock winds up the victor.

Interesting aside: Women used to eat arsenic and use it in soaps and creams in the mid-1800s to whiten their complexion.
