Tried to avoid duplicating already chosen characters. Spelling could be off. A couple of choices are sidekicks so may or may not be acceptable.
The rules specified only that they must be Golden Age "heroes", and can only be those who have stories which are currently available for reading on this website. So, I guess now we can't even MENTION characters
who previously had PD stories displayed on this website, but whose rights have been re-assigned to currently operating publishers. So, the only question that applies to your statement, is whether or not the sidekick character in question was a hero in any single story (e.g. helped the super or non-super hero (lead protagonist character) in his heroic effort (to apprehend villains, and/or right a wrong). Usually these sidekicks are younger, "trainees", learning the art of "Superheroness", like an apprentice or intern. Therefore, most of the time. they assist the protagonist in his or her helping society. So, such sidekicks should meet the test to be considered Golden Age "Heroes". There were some comedic sidekicks, who constantly messed up, and only hurt the progress of the hero. Here, the question is whether they hurt his/her effort more than helped. They should be considered a hero only if they helped more than hurt, overall. If the number of stories in which they helped and hurt is exactly equal, they were NOT heroes.
