Judge Dredd
« on: June 30, 2020, 07:17:29 AM »

Every so often, my life's thrillometer dips from 100 to 99% and I think, "Is that it? Is that all life has to offer?" and then I come across something like this:

https://ew.com/books/judge-dredd-immersive-experience-london/

I can't wait to explore the cursed earth and face the Dredd weight of justice for my crimes (and there are many - including carelessly standing only 1.9m away from the man in front in the Tesco queue - and thinking Dixie Chicks is a much better name than Chicks). I hope they expand the experience eventually to include an accommodation block - can't wait to spend the night in an iso-cube!

What aspects of the Dredd mythos would you include?

Dozens of FREE comic strips of amazing quality from Zarjaz - the Dredd fanzine:

Well worth a look - which of them is your favourite?

Also, credit is due to David Broughton for raising money for cancer charities by selling original artwork - what a great way to do it - much better than a pointless sponsored walk or suchlike - to create wealth by being creative and leaving behind a legacy at the same time - that could be sold again in the future, thus producing more wealth! Now that's magic! (actually, that's economics, but much the same thing)

I covet my 60 issues of the original newsprint 2000Ad.
I enjoyed much of the FUTURESHOCK documentary on Dredd.
Fabulous artwork.. the next level past Kirby on larger pages by Boland, Smith and Kennedy.
