As I stated in a previous post, a few years ago after coming across some great characters in Alan Moore's Tom Strong series, I started doing some research, which led me to the site, where I downloaded an 8 page story of "The Scarab" (one of those great Nedor characters I had just discovered). I loved the art in the book, but wondered what it would be like to switch out the text for a joke. I had a lot of fun and was never really planning on showing anyone other than the few friends I showed it to back then,  but figured what the hell. It's not high-brow, but as I said, I really had a lot of fun doing it.

   Most excellent!  Not only funny, but internally consistent enough for suspension of disbelief.  Quite reminicent of the old Police Plastic Man.   
   I'm working on a straight project that uses old Blackhawk art for a modern team of terrorist bashers.  I'm in the process of recoloring all their Arabian-style adventures and plugging in "War On Terror" dialogue and clip-art cel phones and computers.  I hope it comes out half as good as yours!

Thanks a lot. I never really expected anyone other than my buddy would see it (he was a termite exterminator, hence the character). I had fun, and I loved really having to take the time to examine each frame more than I normally would have. The Scarab was a great (strange) character. Next project like this (if that happens) would most likely be of Zippo, my new favorite GA character, suggested here on the site by some knowledgeable cats.
