Great news that the Golden Age Miss Fury is making a comeback with a new graphic novel from Dynamite:

I spoke to Miss Fury's maid, Francine, on the phone. She said, "Miss Fury can't come to the phone right now, she's busy trying on some new alter-egos - but she wants her CB+ fans to know she's thrilled to be starring in a new feature. That evil villainess Baroness Von Kampf's hair has gone white with the shock. Miss Fury knows the new book will hit the stores like dynamite!"

Well, first, Dynamite have already done modern comics featuring Miss Fury. The problem is, if you read the original, she very rarely spent much time in the costume as Miss Fury. Most of the story-line has to do with adventures she she has in her civilian identity. She had a love/hate relationship with the costume. The work Dynamite has already published had her as a generic superheroine , always active in costume. If his work is to truly honor Mills, it needs to reflect that.

I await this with trepidation.  Dynamite have done some awful stuff with some classic superheroes, not only the modern updated treatment.  The interior art is often terrible.  The company is a classic example of fur coat and nae knickers. They seem to believe if you wrap crap up in a shiny, classy, big name artist's cover, No one will notice.
This isn't the first revival, apart from the reprints, that is, as Adventure tried with a 4 issue run in '91. I think they added a Black Fury character as villain.   Their Miss Fury was the original's granddaughter

I obtained a copy of the 2013? tpb of Miss fury - Dynamite and a quick look later, I will sit down and read it. The art looks better than the Malibu 4 issue series which, at the time, I quite enjoyed.  Needless to say, I've dug out the Malibu comics for a re-read. Why do I get the feeling I'll be disappointed?
