Kurt Shaffenberger.

[Kurt Schaffenberger succeeded Jim Mooney as the artist on the 'Supergirl' feature.

In addition, he worked on titles for other company's, such as ACG's 'Adventures into the Unknown', Major Magazines' Cracked and romance titles by Harvey and Marvel. In the meantime, he did a lot of advertising and promotional comics (toy ads, McDonalds, etc.)]

He also worked for Fawcett on the Marvel Family stories (& probably other series Fawcett had).

As a kid I kind of rolled my eyes at new stories by him because superheroes are serious stuff that need to be drawn in a serious art style and his was too cartoony. As an adult I can see the charm younger me was clearly overlooking in his work.

I concur. I would have put it that his figures were just too nice and perfect. Thought the same about Jim Mooneys work
Cheers!
