It's actually "Jay Gee." John Giunta. He did some interesting work early on, especially teamed with Manny Stallman. For some reason over time his work became cramped and diagrammatic. I first saw his art in THUNDER Agents and hated it. Finding his old stuff on CB+ was a revelation. "Crom the Barbarian" in Avon's Strange Worlds is worth checking out.
