If I ever suggested these "adult humor" magazines were all the same, I hereby retract the assertion. "Nifty" is among the sleaziest bottom-of-the barrel magazines of The Kind Men Like. The lousy art doesn't help. The publishers obviously think they're hot stuff. What an odd idea to have a "cast" of lowlifes who appear in multiple cartoons over several magazines. Unlike virtually all the other mags, "Nifty" allows characters to say "damn" and "hell." I guess this made them seem more edgy. They're also less coy about direct sexual references (notably, "How's the barometer, up or down?").
