Hi all. I've been a longtime lurker since some fellow comic fan friends sent me a link to this site a few years back.
I never really participated in the forums before: I was always either too busy with school or work, or else (when my schedule finally eased up) I was fighting computer connection problems on my own end of things, or not being able to log in due to the various technical difficulties the site had over the past couple years.
For now, things are settling down enough that I look forward to start exploring more of the Golden Age comics and sampling the different titles. I love the material -- I only wish I knew where to start, there's so much of it!
Besides being a comics fan, I also do graphic arts work in the printing industry and I do freelance comic work on the side, so comic books have always been of interest to me both as a hobby and a job. I'm interested in Golden Age comics not just for the stories and characters, but also with appreciation for the pre-computer era craftsmanship involved in their production and printing. Thanks for making these comics available for viewing -- there's no way I would ever be able to afford the physical copies at the prices they're charging for back issues nowadays.
So anyway, all that to say: Thanks for all the work everyone has put into collecting, scanning and making available these Golden Age treasures. It's appreciated.
(Now I just have to wait for my download timer to reset. It seems like it's been stuck at zero since April!)
