misterxus, something else is at work here.

I just downloaded all three files and opened them with CDisplay. CDisplay is telling me that there is some kind of garbage in the file -- which makes me suspect it was created on a mac -- but it opened them nonetheless.

I further tested the files; unzipping them with TUGZip and IZArc into new folders which I could still open and read with CDisplay. However, I could not unzip any of the files with Filzip.

My advice, unzip the files into new folders, upon which you will then be able to read them with CDisplay.

FilZip says "Error while reading end of directory" and after clicking okay, "Input file does not exist."  I guess I'll have to download one or both of the other zip programs you mentioned, unzip them into another folder and maybe re-zip and rename them minus the offending files. Thanks for the help and for providing the files in the first place.

I really appreciate the sharing of comics which I would probably never be able to read without your service.

I downloaded and used TUGZip to open and extract the files to their own folders, used FilZip to zip them, then renamed them in FilZip and VOILA! All three cbz files now open flawlessly. Just follow the steps listed above or I can upload my copies if you prefer. Not sure if I still have ftp access from over a year ago or not, but I can always use the online uploader. Just let me know.
