Apparently the writer of "Frame-Up Racket" didn't realize that blank cartridges, like the one in the antique pistol that the girl used to shoot the "dead" man, can indeed be dangerous under certain circumstances.

The idea that blank cartridges are harmless is one of the most harmful fraudulent tropes that Hollywood and filmmakers have perpetuated.
No they are not as dangerous as bullets,but being shop with one can still kill.
