This was a fun time capsule. I hadn't heard of Captain Future, but he makes a dashing figure. As someone else mentioned, the look on the cover pre-empts Adam Strange, who didn't appear until 1958.

I always find it interesting to see these sci-fi comics from the 1950s, as they imagine what space travel might be like in the future. In the first Captain Future story, it was a bit unbelievable that they would put themselves so close to the collision. With all that futuristic technology, they must have realised they'd be in the path of the shock wave. The story was also wrapped up very quickly, and I'm not sure how they could claim it to be a great success, given that they lost the mothership.

I liked the other two stories a little better, though it would have been good if Velma had been given more to do than fetch the scientist.

I agree with one of the other commenters about the art, especially the more technical art involved with the spaceships and future worlds. An interesting little comic.
