After 10 minutes of recap (done creatively through dialogue, but somewhat overdone nonetheless), the story continues with Parker and the Mayor at each other's throats with accusations and circumstantial evidence. After the first 10 minutes, it gets more interesting but it still wouldn' work with today's audiences (of course, radio drama doesn't really work with most people today).

I don't know, there is still a big market for Audio books and a huge audience for podcasts. You can listen while you drive or commute.
