Steve Bell/ Guardian cartoonist.

Try this site. A major collection of his newspaper cartoons. Bell is the Guardian's big gun cartoonist and his stuff is heavy.  No punch pulling here.  Hope the Americans or right wingers among you aren't too upset with what represents a big percentage of public opinion in Britain.

I am very right wing but did not see what you were referring to. What toons would be offensive. Some of the humor does not translate well I imagine. I also think that most others have a misconception of what right wing really is because of the left wing media portrayal.

Interesting.  Bell is a bit left of centre and his cruel depictions of Thatcher and Bush jr. are legendary as are his takes on the banking crisis. Mind you his treatment of most politicians, big business, multinationals and corruption are the same. And I agree with much of what he says.  I just was awary of offending folk who have been friendly towards me and, of course, knowledgable .

I do not get offended by politics. It is one crook or the other. I think YES (prime)MINISTER was an accurate depiction of politics.

reminds me of a Pogo Possum comic I saw that was done in Danish.

I can assure everyone that most of the humor does not translate as intended.
Much of the dialog in Pogo is playing on southern United States dialect.
That's a large part of the humor.
