 I was pleasantly surprised to see this old friend- one of my very first picture books! My mom and dad loved old books and I was lucky enough to be raised on a diet of very well illustrated and written children's books. Oz, The Brownies, Andrew Lang's Fairy books, and so many more.
Even though I was far too young to read, I can remember my mom reading this book to me. The renderings of these bizarre and comical little imps, as well as the accompanying rhymes, helped teach me a love of humor and nonsense. (Thanks,Ma!) Cheers, bowers
