I’m reading comics from my birth month and year, June, 1958 so added this one into the mix. Actually not too bad in terms of stories with the female characters definitely on the long suffering side, but not as helpless or hopeless as often portrayed in romance comics. I enjoyed the stories and the feisty girls at their centers , but man the artwork was really rough and rudimentary. The instructional/warning piece entitled “The Kind Men Jilt” must have really intimidated sensitive girls in 1958 who were likely petrified of alienating a man like the examples shown here. Sad that in those times so many girls and young women saw no future happiness for themselves without a man attached to it. I hope things have change for the better these days even though loneliness will always be around to infect anyone anywhere. A comic well worth reading, check it out!
