Raise a glass...
« on: December 24, 2024, 10:35:57 PM »

I would like to invite our brother and sister members to join me in raising a glass to all of our members and their loved ones- past present and future. Sadly we have lost a noted member (Kingcat), an amazing donor (Jim Vadenboncoeur), and a well known collector (John Cleland) this year.
So, ladies and gentlemen, please raise your glasses to our online family and all those we hold dear- (Christmas) Cheers to all and bless us every one! bowers

My glass will be charged shortly.  A Christmas morning walk first.
Despite the sadness of losing friends, we can enjoy each others company and
raise a glass to their memories.  As another friend wrote to me this morning,
"Yuletide felicitations".  Or as I prefer it, have a good one.

I'll raise a glass to our group here, and Jim, Stevie, and John may they rest in peace, having access to ALL the PD AND NON-PD comics that have ever been made!

And Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone!

Sorry I only just saw this. My next glass will be raised to them. Out of curiosity, how did you find out they had passed?

Sadly we have lost a noted member (Kingcat), an amazing donor (Jim Vadenboncoeur), and a well known collector (John Cleland) this year.

Greg, these individuals had a long association behind the scenes with CB+. [Mostly before my time although Kingcat - Stevie- was part of the Reading Group team - we didn't always see eye-to-eye but I do miss him.] As such they had strong personal relationships with colleagues on CB+. A good deal of personal dialogue and forging closer relationships also goes on through the PM (Personal/Private messages function.
That, to me, is one of the most positive characteristics of CB+. Long may she reign!
