Hello all,

I'm Jeff, and just went on Medicare this month, so I've been a comic book fan for a LONG time. The first comic that I remember having was the Gold Key Green Hornet #2 - my dad brought it home for me when I was sick. From there I became a big DC fan, especially the Adventure-era Legion of Super Heroes.

I still especially love golden age comics and DC Earth-2 stories. In the last couple years I discovered the pulps, and have been working my way through The Shadow and Doc Savage.

I'm grateful for the internet and all the wonderful comic and pulp-related information. When I was a kid growing up in a small town, it often felt like there weren't other fans of sci-fi and comics around, but I now know I wasn't alone.

I grew up in North Queensland Australia so I know what that's like.
CB+ can only host material that is PD (in the Public Domain) so we can't host DC books or anything thats still under copyright like Green Hornet. Also only books before about 1964 are PD. But don't let that stop you.
You will find plenty of early work by artists and writers who you would know from DC here if you dive in and look.

Hello Jeff.  Welcome to the club.
I grew up in Central Scotland where there wasn't much interest in comics - "kids stuff" you'd hear.
My interests are GA, Earth 2, DC, superheroes and the obscure in comics, as well as British and European comics. 
If you're reading pulps, have a look at The Phantom Detective, Black Bat and, if you can handle the carnage, The Spider.
Get stuck in.  Lots to discover and read.
