TV Century 21 comics.
« on: November 05, 2018, 06:35:36 AM »

I just came upon TV Century comics while surfing Youtube. I have a friend that is re-doing the old Fireball XL-5 series with new animation and These comics came up. I couldn't find them on the list and have never heard of them before. Anyone have info?

Thanks Pete

Unfortunately, this title is not pd and we don't host it here.  However, an internet search using the title will bring up a few sites where you will at least be able to read various issues.
If it's of interest, the comic was a British publication which featured a number of comic strip versions of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson tv shows. As well as Fireball XL5, it carried, Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet etc.

I wrote a book called SPACE TOURISTS, very loosely based on Fireball XL5, with added science, available on Kindle.

Interesting.  Good luck with the biik.
While I have to admire Fireball XL5 and watched it when I was a lad, I always have preferred Space Patrol - the puppet one, not the American live action show - which at least was slightly more accurate in having a solar system as we know it, and the ide that it took time to get to other planets. Yes they had Galasphere 347 landing on gas giants, but it was and is a great show.  Blu Ray box set currently available. And an article in an upcoming issue of Tales That Astonished, the next issue of which is imminent, and free!
