There are plenty of Golden/Silver Age adaptations of "Tom Sawyer," but did anyone besides Classics Illustrated do one of "Huckleberry Finn"? Still one of my favorite books. The movie tie-in doesn't count.

HUCKLEBERRY FINN adaptation(s) from CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED were as follows.  Under the title CLASSIC COMICS, the adaptation (drawn by Louis Zansky) was 56 pages plus covers.  When it was reprinted as CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED in the late 1940s, sixteen pages were removed to make it 48 plus covers.  In the mid to late 1950s, the adaptation and art was replaced and a painted cover given it.
The new-art edition is still available from Jack Lake Productions in Canada and the Classic Comic Store in England.  Both have internet sites.


I don't remember any others from the Golden Age, but there are at least two or three in the modern era.  The adaptation in SADDLEBACK ILLUSTRATED CLASSICS is very good and has Philippine art from the old NOW AGE ILLUSTRATED which became PENDULUM ILLUSTRATED.  Look them up on the SADDLEBACK site.
