Planet Stories
« on: October 04, 2013, 01:20:47 AM »

I bought some of these and they are mailing. I am pretty sure they are pd. They are the sister pulp of the fiction house favorite planet comics. They had a very small budget and you probably won't see many big authors, but there is some Bradbury and Brackett, and I have heard this magazine was the first to publish a story by my namesake

Yes, all Planet Stories are PD. The only Fiction House Pulps that are NOT PD are Action and Frontier stories. Actually uploading some of these now.

Astonishing stories? Just so you know I am just trying to see what pulps aren't here that I can buy on this website I found because I have birthday money (If you haven't guessed from the Bladerunner thing, I am fifteen and rely on birthday money to buy pulps). There is a magazine here simply called Science Fiction that has a cool bird-guy on the cover, but I have no way of searching the internet for it because searching "science fiction pulp" gets me nowhere. There is a whole bunch of westerns here and if you name one that is pd I can get some probably. Soooo much argosy and adventure I wouldn't know where to start. If you have money burning a whole in your pocket the website is vintagepulps.com. I will warn you that the detective section is disappointing and the sports, war, and horror sections are totally empty (they always are, but it is very annoying that they are listed anyway to get our hopes up). The hero section is very desolate too, but if you're like me you never read originals of those, and they are not pd anyway. I hope you will stay away from the g-8 reprints

Looking at vintage pulps I noticed Science Fiction Quarterly below the Science Fiction pulps and a search for SFQ lead me to http://www.sf-encyclopedia.com/entry/science_fiction_stories

No cover reproductions to be sure it's the same magazine, unfortunately.

In that case I have v4n2 and v4n4 on their way. Is there anything else I should avoid?
