Hi Gang!
Here she is... our baby looks ready to run to us.

After much hinting and teasing we can finally let the Phantom out of the bag!  *grin*
She's a Lady and she's a pretty sharp cookie!

Quality's most sexy and notorious property - The PHANTOM LADY Archive V1 is ready to meet the world.
So please give her a big welcome and download any of the THREE versions we now have available for your pleasure.

VERSION 1:
Phantom Lady Archives v1 - The Complete War Years
Uploaded in two parts it runs 112mb
This version has ALL the bells and whistles we could think of covering 1941 to 1943 including some DC material relevant to that time.
Complete War Years Edition total page count - 211 pgs!
This version will soon be posted on Usenet on ABPC as well for those that get their comics from that source.

Part 1:

Part 2:

VERSION 2:
Phantom Lady Archives v1 - The QUALITY Edition

Page count: 205 and runs 96mb
This Public Domain contents only version will be exclusively hosted on the Golden Age Comics website found here:

Part 2:

VERSION 3:
Phantom Lady Archives v1 - The EXTRAS Only Edition
This version is for those out there that already have all the stories as found on the net on places like GAC and usenet. So to save them the bother of re-downloading stories they already have we're giving you ONLY the extra materials Phabox and I worked very hard on creating for this special project.
22pgs - 8.8mb

Extras Only:

We've worked to produce what we wold like to think is a much superior archive than the average collection being produced. We've tried to make it as attractive, informative and exciting to read as possible with a lot of extra touches you wont see anywhere but in a Phabox made Archive.  As the designer and co-pilot I'm very proud of the final results.

I hope you'll all enjoy the work and ESPECIALLY read the last page where we are looking for some HELP!

And you can also still get our MADAM ZERO SECRET FILES Collection at this link:

Enough from me, enjoy!

I wish I could help, but I don't have anything you need.  Still, a neat project; here's hoping somebody can help you on the next volume.

Yoc,

This is superb!  In the tradition of Russ Cochrane, you've included relevant research and comment, sadly lacking from the DC product.  Thank you for the effort, and thank you for "getting it"

All praise for the editorial content goes to Phabox who's done a LOT of reading of the material and come up with some very unique ideas on how Sandra Knight might fit into the grand scheme of a single comics 'universe.'  I just tried to make it look purty!   ;)

Great to see some of the gang here are enjoying the collection.  With some help we hope to make PLA v2 even bigger and better!

My hat's off to both of you guys Yoc and Phabox. This is the definative collection of this classic character. The Quality material (the stuff that counts in my opinion) alone is worth the price of admision. I also loved the DC material that used her, especially the last two stories.

Looking at Arthur Peddy's work on Phantom Lady, I was suprised to find that his work on this strip was far different that his later Justice Society of America work which I am more familiar with. In fact Peddy's work on Phantom Lady was much closer to what Paul Gustavson was doing on such strips as The Jester and The Human Bomb than to the Caniff influenced style he would employ on his JSA tales. I also loved the work of both Frank Borth and Rudy Palias on the strip as well. Those two really knew how to draw sexy women.

Keep up the good work and KEEP 'EM FLYING!!!!!!!!

If DC Comics (or anyone else) wanted to put out any Archive Collections in the same style as our 'Phantom Lady' Volume i'm sure that Yoc and myself would only be to happy to give our services IF THE PRICE WAS RIGHT  ;) !

Thanks to everyone for all their amazingly kind words!
They've certainly have made what at times felt like never ending log-jams of real life demands, rewrites, redesigns and edits Well Worth the Effort!

We knew this was going to be one of the most ambitious archives to be made and it likely took the longest to do of any of them as well.  We actually had time to produce the Madam Zero Secret Files in the middle of creating the PL Archives v1!!   AND Phabox helped with Bad Kitty's Wildfire Collection

You can now find the Phantom Lady Archives v1 as well as the Quality Wildfire Collection, the Quality Miss America Collection AND several Quality issues at THIS link:

Thanks for posting that Savefile link Yoc, 'Bad Kitty's' Wildfire Archive is also a great piece of work, especially the introduction ( only kidding) !! and IMO also deserves a place on this site.

I have to say that 'Bad Kitty Productions' is a little more daring then Yoc and myself as regards choice of material and sad to say some of their productions would not be suitable for this site.

However 'Digital Preservation' is the main goal of BKP and I know that at least one thing they would like to get hold off is that recent c2c scan of Venus_007 so IF its still available and the scanner would care to share it then please contact me privately and i'll see it goes to a good home.

In fact BKP has given me something of a 'shoping list' of material needed for planned future productions however this is not the best forum for these kind of requests but the 'BKP Wants' list WILL be appearing soon 'elsewhere'. ;)

You'd have to be more specific Todd.
Venus - no chance.  Wildfire - perhaps.

One Easy answer and one hard one, the Phantom Lady Archives can be found it two parts in the Quality Comics folder at the bottom under all the regular titles along with the 'Miss America Quality Archives' which I also recommend.

As for Venus, she like other Timely/Marvel stuff is NOT in the Public Domain and is therefore 'off limits' as far as this open forum goes and if I told you here where to find such material I'm afraid i'd have to kill you...and then myself !!! ;)

Oh, a quick question:

In the PL archives you say you're looking for All Top 10, 11, 16, and 17

We have 8 and 14 on the site.

So what's up with 9, 12, 13, and 15?  Overstreet suggests they have PL stories; do scans exist we just don't have here yet?

Right off the top of my head i'm guessing that we have reprints of these stories but as their are from 'recent publications' they cannot be used on this site.

Obviously when possible we would always prefer scans from ORIGINAL sources but with a project of this kind we some times have to 'make do' with whatever we can get.

Volume One featured a lot of Fiche pages, something that we were not keen on but if we had put things on 'hold' until perfect paper scans came along 'Phase One' would STILL be in limbo.

As it is some decent page scans have since turned up with more on the horizen so a future 'upgrade' could well be on the cards and we may even find ourselves doing the same thing with Volume Two one day.
