Excellent episode, with a really good and meaningful ending.

The Mysterious Traveller has a consistency in quality throughout the whole series, and almost all episodes are really good, with outstanding writing and superb acting.

The only annoying thing is the organ that plays in each intermission, really irritating! :-)

I agree .. (not about the organ as I think I must be filtering it out), but the series really is EXCELLENT ... sometimes it is little bit predictable but as you said the acting is top notch! I akso 100% agree I am astounded how they managed to get that consistent quality through the run (I haven't heard a bad one yet).

So saying most of the shows here are pretty good. In fact the more I get into OTR the more I appreciate it. Pretty hard to find turkeys around!

It's funny how the organ became THE standard accompaniment for radio shows that didn't have the budget for a band or an orchestra. I suppose it was because a musician could get a wider variety of effects from an organ than from a piano. Still, didn't any producer try using a trio, or a guitar, or even an accordion, just to be different?

I'm getting close to the end of the MYSTERIOUS TRAVELER episodes on this site. Don't know what I'll listen to next before going to sleep. I have noticed the organ (sometimes more dramatic and insistent in some stories than others). It doesn't really bother me, but it does make me laugh sometimes.

I noticed that there are 7 extra episodes of the Mysterious Traveller on Internet Archive  https://archive.org/details/TheMysteriousTraveler (77 in total there)
But I didn't compare both sites to check which episodes are not present here in Comic Book Plus.

Other Old Time Radio Mystery shows, in the same style and mood of the Mysterious Traveller, that I definetely recommend are:

Weird Circle https://archive.org/details/Weird_Circle_otr
X Minus One https://archive.org/details/XMinus1_A
Dimension X https://archive.org/details/Dimension-X
Inner Sanctum Mysteries https://archive.org/details/OTRR_Inner_Sanctum_Mysteries_Singles
The Unexpected https://archive.org/details/TheUnexpected

And there are many more.... Unfortunately, because these other shows are not connected to comic books themselves, I don't know if they'd have space here on CBP, but it sounds like a good idea to me!
it's always good to promote OTR radio entertainment to new audiences!

I've also started listening to CRIME DOES NOT PAY, which I might continue with after I'm through all THE MYSTERIOUS TRAVELER.

From past experience, other programs I like are SUSPENSE and THE WHISTLER. I have tried using the OTR archive site before, but I find it much more difficult to navigate than this site.
