The artwork is by Geoff Campion. He's best known as a Western and WWII artist on Amalgamated Press/Fleetway
comics of the 1950s and '60s, such as 'Sun' and 'Comet' (see above and below). But he drew occasional historical strips - for example, "Robin Hood" Thriller Comics/Picture Library No10 (Mar 1952) and "Quo Vadis" TCL No19 (Aug 1952), based on the MGM film. I'm surprised that anyone would find his work 'old-fashioned', even today - at the time, his clean vigorous drawing was the epitome of picture-strip modernity, and his mastery of action scenes led to him being overused, to the detriment of his work.

Yes, I get that and I'm sure you're absolutely correct.  I still think the strip has a similar appearance to those Billy Bunter strips where Bunter is a cartoony figure drawn by one artist and the other characters are drawn as "real" by someone else. The Turpin strip seems like that with the central character being the "real " one.  And that's why I wondered if someone else had done the other characters.
I have to add that I don't find his work "old-fashioned" but then I'm cracking on a bit and a lot of modern comic artwork leaves me cold.
