Love the site! Love obscure titles too!

Hi! I'm Tom. I live in New England and have been a comic junky since I was about 10 years old. At one point I even had my own comic shop (Colton's Comics in Millbury, Mass) This site is awesome because as I grow and my tastes develop I find myself drawn to titles that aren't always in the mainstream. I would LOVE a set of Black Terror books! I am always interested in how people got hooked on comics. For me it started when my mom asked me to go to a seedy part of town to buy yarn at a super low price at a local store! (Not sure how a scrawny kid was going to defend her if there was trouble?!) While there I stumbled on those "3 comics for a quarter" bags with 1/3 of the cover torn off. THEN I read "All in Color for a Dime" and I was hooked. Especially on GA. Now I can read tons of stuff without going broke! Love it! Thanks! Rock on people!

Hi Tom, glad you found your way here.  Obscure comics, is it?  We'll give you obscure comics and not only N. American ones.  Have a look at the UK; Australian; Non-English sections. Piles of great old comics there. ;D
By the way, you're not the only member here who had their own comic shop.  I was one of 3 partners in aka Books and Comics in Glasgow, Scotland.

Thanks for the welcome Paw! I too am a Phantom fan. I recall cutting out tons of Phantom strips (and others) from the local papers here and stashing them away in a bag. Where that bag went I do not know... I look forward to many hours of rummaging here!

Good to have you with us Tom. Hard to be true comic fan without being a Phantom fan. It was a very well written iconic strip. Black Terror almost seems main stream to be. If you want to go obscure try some Bang-Up Comics or Mad Hatter.
