Hi Gang,
I was looking for histories of Rural Home publishers and came across the article by Lawrence Watt-Evans called 'The Other Guys' published in The Scream Factory #19, Summer 1997

Some here might enjoy it.

Am I the only one, when reading that article, saw this quote:

Quote
Weird Chills only lasted three issues, all in 1954. In my decades of collecting and reading comics I think this may be the single most unpleasant title I ever read; #2 featured stories entitled ''Violence!'' and ''Hate,'' for example.

and thought, "I've got to see what's so bad here!?!"  We have 1 and 3 on the site, I'm glad I don't need to spend the money to see them.

I remember Lawrence Watt-Evans from usenet in the 90's.

Sounds like another idea for a thread -

'What is your choice as the most disgusting comic on GAC?'
