Romance books aren't exactly my forte, but it looks like the first two stories, "Love for Sale!" and "My Phantom Lover," could be Al Avison, and "Too Good at Love!" might be Jack Sparling. I've always found it interesting how some of the B western stars had comics featuring them well after their starring years had ended (Ritter's last starring series ended in 1945) or even well after they had died (Tom Mix, Buck Jones).

From May, 1944, Eastern Color's Heroic Comics #24 is going up now! Heroic's shift from superheroes to war heroes was becoming obvious by the time this book came out. Hydroman, Man O'Metal, and Music Master had been religated to the back of the book, with just 6 pages each. However, Music Master managed to squeeze in a 7th in the form of a PSA drawn by Jimmy Thompson.

Except according to "eubiecat" in a comment on the DCM posting, it isn't Thompson. I haven't looked at it closely since, but if it isn't, it's a good Thompson lookalike.

Wow, it's been WAY too long since I stopped in here, let alone posted anything! Well, I'm rectifying that now. True Comics #53 (October, 1946) from the Parents Magazine Institute is up now! Among this issue's features are Eleanor Roosevelt, "Lady of Democracy," "Tom Paine and his Mighty Pen," and Wyatt Earp in "Sheriff's Secret." The book features art by Al Plastino and Jack Sparling.

Master Comics #129 is going up now from August, 1952. Front cover from Heritage, inside front, inside back, and back covers from fiche, everything else is paper scans. This issue features Captain Marvel Jr., Ozzie, Nyoka the Jungle Girl, and Tom Mix.

An upgraded copy of Marvel Family #65 (November, 1951) is going up now to replace the lower-res. paper/fiche version. Scans are C2C paper, but fiche copies of the IBC and BC have also been included as extras since the paper versions are damaged. This issue features the 3 chapter story "The Marvel Family Battles the Tenement Terror" by Otto Binder and Pete Costanza.

I'm back again with a new old book, or at least with most of one... Nedor's Startling Comics #16 is going up now!!!

August, 1942. Paper with black and white microfilm fills. Cover from GCD, IFC, IBC, BC, pages 1-8, and 53-64 are digital photos of b&w microfilm. Partial paper scan of Fighting Yank, microfilm of Don Davis, Masked Rider, and Happy (humor filler). Complete paper scans of Captain Future, Four Comrades (origin/1st app.), Biff Powers, Mystico, and two texts. The microfilm is hard to read, but it's better than nothing (but just barely).

Fawcett's Wow Comics #5 is up now!!!

January, 1942. This issue features 3 Mr. Scarlet stories, The Hunchback, Rick O'Shay, Jim Dolan, and Atom Blake. This is a coverless copy with the front and back covers from Heritage and the ifc and ibc from fiche.

This particular copy is interesting because of the stamp, "Greetings from Congressman TENEROWICZ," which is found on numerous pages throughout the book. Rudolph G. Tenerowicz (D-Michigan) served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1939-1943, and it's easy to picture one of his children, or the child of one of his staff members, getting bored in his office and playing with the stamp. A fascinating connection to the book's original owner.
