Not having any luck finding info on Eugene E Hughes.
Can anybody help me out or post a link?

According to Jerry Bails' Who's Who site Hughes only worked in the comic book industry from 1952-1957 doing work primarily in the war comics genre. He seemed to have only worked for three comic's publishers- Trojan, Stanley Morse and DC.

His covers are generally excellent, demonstrating a good visual imagination, often very powerful, but his interiors, while satisfying in terms of storytelling, are disappointing, as if he was happy just to basically  sketch the story.
