Do any of you fiche scanners have Mystery Men #4?  Our paper scan is missing the ifc ibc and pages numbered (internally) 36-49 which includes the Blue Beetle story.  The scan is otherwise gorgeous.

While we're at it Mystery Men #13 is missing the bc and ibc.  I can supply the back cover, but getting the ibc would be nice.

Hi Jon,
Jim (JVJ) has it.
I was going to ask him if he might scan just the missing pages if he could.

MYSTERY MEN   4 (missing pgs 37-49, ifc, ibc) (Fox).

Alas, Yoc, my copy is also coverless, BUT it DOES have pages 37 - 49. I'll scan them today (along with all the rest of the stuff I have to scan) and put them in my folder. 300 ppi tiff files, right?

I don't have a copy of #13.

Peace, Jim (|:{>

Hey, that's just fine Jim!
Thanks very much.  :D
I'll add the pages to the file and re-upload the much more complete book after that.

I've been updating the 'JVJ Books Not Scanned Yet' list in the 'Wanted Section' the last few days.
If you had anything new to add please post a list at the end of that thread and I'll incorporate it into the mast list.

While I was working on it I also created a list of incomplete books on GAC that where missing the odd story page or two (not ads!) and could use a fill from your collection.  If you were willing to do some more quick scans down the line.
I haven't finished the list yet though.

Hey Yoc,

I've been compiling a list too!  I'd have probably posted one by now if it hadn't been for work having eaten into my free time for the last 3 months.  I could give you what I've got done so far.  Maybe it would help you finish it sooner.

As a matter of fact, maybe there should be a thread for incomplete books, we're everyone could make a post when they come across books that are incomplete, but aren't listed as such.  (I started my list because of that.)

Sorry to post this (sort of off-topic) here, but I thought "strike while the iron is hot!"

Sounds like a plan D!
But I don't want to paint Jim into a corner.
He's being very nice about this Mystery Man book.
At the same time it seems almost a waste of cash to ask him to ship a book that only needs 4 or 5 pages to complete the existing scan doesn't it?
It's a case where if we had the fiche for them we could easily get by but we don't.

Anyways, I'll start a thread and you please add your current list D.

The 9 pages are in my JVJ folder, Yoc. Sorry I don't have the ic's.

Just to make myself clear, I was in NO WAY even suggesting that Jim do all this scanning...or even necessarily any of it.  I was only putting forward the thought of having a place that members could mention they've noticed a book was incomplete, especially if it wasn't already listed as being so.  The thought that you could connect that idea with Jim's being gracious enough to do some fill-in scans for Mystery Men #4 didn't even enter my mind, so sorry for the confusion. ;D

All right, I've added my preliminary list, now.  So from here it's for those intrepid fill-inners among us (Darkmark, Jon the Scanner, srca1941, et al) to take up the challenge and see if they can't make a dent in it...

Good night, and good luck!
