Hi, I'm new to the site and forum. This site is amazing with all this old cartoon art at our hands. I'm on my way to becoming a cartoonist,comic artist and animator, so this is great for studying. I like Milt Gross, Dan Gordon funnies. I appreciate the inking of golden age comics.

Welcome! and Good Luck with your career. I have co-incidentally been thinking that what is seriously missing in today's comics is seriously funny cartoons with the type of vaudeville screwball sensibility that guys like  these had. You will find a lot you like on this site.

As for funnies, British comics featured a lot of good "funny" artists.  Harry Banger was one of the best and you can find his strips, and those of his fellow cartoonist in Gerald G. Swan comics and annuals.  Have a look at Coloured Slick Fun:-

Swan used the cheapest, nastiest paper for the comics, and that is reflected in the scans we have here. Some of the very best and whacky  humour strips were created by giants of the genre for D.C. Thomson and some other companies.  While we can't host them here, you might want to track down Dudley D Watkins (almost any of his humour strips), Ken Reid (particularly Jonah) and Leo Baxendale (particularly The Bash St Kids).
For sheer daftness and weirdness, Lobey Dosser is a must.  This kid-on western is very, very Scottish and particularly, Glasgow. So you might not get a lot of the phrases and pronunciation, but Bud Neill was a great cartoonist.
