By the way, I couldn't expand the Target Comics v04 03 (no ads,txt) file. A message kept saying that the structure of the archive is damaged. Anyone else have this problem?

By the way, I couldn't expand the Target Comics v04 03 (no ads,txt) file. A message kept saying that the structure of the archive is damaged. Anyone else have this problem?

I just opened it on CDisplay...no problems...I'm beginning to get a complex about the ease I have opening files from the site.

The last page was a bad crc file Boox.  I've asked freddy to get another copy of the scans from bhcomics, the original scanner who's never visited GAC but has supplied many books minus some pages but still very nice of him to scan and share them.

Any chance of fixing it? I need this book for some research I am doing on the strange last dark comic book stories of Jack Cole. I've been searchign fior this issue for quite a while. I just downloaded PM 38 and had the same problem.  I (1) changed the extension to ".cbz" and then (2) used 7-Zip to "extract here", which created a new, working, ".cbz" file.

I have no idea why I can open nearly every file on the site while others have problems. This opens for me in CDisplay with no problems.

You might want to extract the files with either TUGZip or IZArc; those help me on the rare stubborn file that I cannot open with CDisplay.

Problem solved! Thanks guys. WinRAR wasn't able to extract the file... but IZArc does it just fine. Once extracted, I see the file has no extension at all, so I just added ".cbr" to the end and it opens up... and boy, what a great comic! Cole was really into nightmare land in this issue... I'm in heaven. Thanks again!

Hi, gang!
New stuff: Ghost Rider 13; Tim Holt 26 (from a coverless); Jesse James 5 (lots of Kubert, but a page torn out).
I didn't realize all the stuff that was going on with my uploads. I only upload .zips, compressed with winzip. I check that they open OK before uploading, but things can go wrong in the upload (hot news!) or in your download (but if you've tried at least twice with the same result, then it's probably the file).
yocitrus was a super-help during the crisis, using his valuable time to upload my scans; he may have converted some to .cbr/z's

It's great to see the efforts you've made to overcome the problems and open the files. I've used winrar and zipcentral (which can usually open corrupt zips and do some repair). Thanks for the info on TUGZip & IZArc; the more apps, the better.

By the way, my thanks to all the other scanners out there who've provided us with so many 1000's of comicscans!

thanks for all the beautiful stuff. I grabbed the GR and TH; wonderful reads.  I hope you don't mind...I grabbed a Tim Holt 26 cover from the web and added it to you scan an upped it.

Now that I hear that the Jesse James have Kubert in them, I am headed back to grab them.
