While it is awesome to see old members dropping in, it would be nice to hear something other than "I'm a member from a while ago but now I can't download" -- I mean, I'd like to know what they're up to these days. What comics are they following? What's new in their corner of the world? Have they been to any conventions; met any bigshots; found any interesting blogs to share; decided that Dell's Owl is better than Centaur's Owl; lost amid a study of golden age comics ads; rolling their eyes at the newest X-Men series?

There is more to GAC than just downloading. Got Fandom? You do at GAC!

I am still unable to download.

When I attempted to do so I got this message:

"Error: Your session ID does not match the session ID for this download link. If you are following this link from our site, please report it to the admin.. If you believe this to be in error, please quote the above error and report this to the admin"

I don't understand this--probably because I'm pretty dumb. But as dumb as I may be I'd still love to be able to read some classic comics.

That is a timeout error -- refreshing your browser is the best way to deal with it. I back out of the page, then refresh and go back into download. Check this thread for other discussion on how to not go insane from it.

"THIS ARCHIVE IS NOT A VALID ZIP ARCHIVE" and  "LIST INDEX OUT OF BOUNDS [-1]"

What can I do to open this file

That error occurs depending on a number of factors...generally if the file was created on a mac. Regardless, the quick way to reading the file is to unzip it with either IZArc or FilZip into an new folder, from which you can then use CDisplay to read it.

Welcome diamond. If you want quality then Quality is a good place to start. If your want the offbeat superhero there is the ever popular Centaur. If you want gruesome horror we have plenty from Comic Media and others.

Welcome back to the forum!

Your problem was that you had not been around for sssssooooooooo long, that during the various bumps and jumps of the code, dormant accounts such as yours never reset because the system code apparently saw no need for it. Regardless, you're all set for downloading again. Enjoy and don't be a stranger on the forum.
