This is a very nice and untypical cover. But. This is an American comic, so why is he ushering her into the Driver's seat? Also no steering wheel in sight.
This bears out my thesis (coming from a country where if you don't drive, your ability to get around can be severely limited) that many comic creators in the Golden age and into the silver age lived in New York and used public transport, hence very little interest in drawing cars or having characters get around by driving them. Batman drives, but not much lately. Mostly in the films. Does Superman even have a driver's license? Ever see the Avengers, X-Men or the JLA drive anywhere? Or Spiderman? Wouldn't you like to see Wolverine behind the wheel of a Mustang? .Kirby stands out in this [as he does in many things] as vehicles [usually outrageous] were sometimes an integral part of his storytelling. [Fantasticar, Arrowcar, the various vehicles in Jimmy Olsen, and the Forever People's vehicle come immediately to mind]
