Great tip, Crash – many thanks! I loved the use of language –‘the banshee scream of skidding tyres.’ Fifties hardboiled detectives – I love all that stuff. Nice work from Edd Ashe on the art front. I found the plot a bit hard to follow – so many characters and it moves so quickly – but I got there on the second read-through.

I think there are pages missing from the second story.

This has prompted me to read more Brett Halliday – someone who slipped beneath the radar on my book list.
