Needing to calm down a bit after Enrico Bagnoli's Futura, I went for the much-neglected Stanley Dare, Boy Detective.

A ripping tale with Stanley in Panama on the trail of an international gangster and barely escaping with his life. I must read what happens in the next chapter.

Stanley is a Holmesian character representing a modern attitude for its time - a reliance on forensics and evidence combined with physical prowess and mental agility in bringing the villains to justice.
