Happy Birthday to Bugs - who is 80 today! Surely, we should celebrate by eating a carrot or two?

My favourite animal characters? Robb has given us his, my top three would be:

1) Uncle Scrooge McDuck
2) Deputy Dawg
3) Muttley

Though when I was really young (like in my forties), I favoured Pixie, Dixie & Mr Jinks

How about you?

Wot,
No Pink Panther, Yogi Bear, Top Cat or Bazil Brush?
And from an age relevant to this site, Mighty Mouse, and Woody Woodpecker?

I would probably say Kraxy Kat, Pogo Possum and Snoopy.

My top 3 are all Carl Barks (Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, and crazy inventor, Gyro Gearloose).  But, Bugs Bunny, especially his long adventure stories from the 1940s and early 1950s, were also among my favourite comic book stories for evening or blizzard reading as a child.  The writers of those stories were among the same group of Western Publishing writers that wrote many of the best non-Barks Disney stories.
