Well, hiya, gang!
The name's Derek S., but everyone just calls me Derek. I've been a fan of all things vintage--cartoons, radio shows, comics, you name it--for as long as I can remember.
In mid-November, while looking for some funny animal comics, I stumbled upon this site. And I've been hooked ever since. Once I knew that you could make an account, I knew I had to join. I'm also a cartoonist, which makes this site appeal to me even more.

Re 'Funny Animal' comics, check out the 'Latest Comics' Window on the right-hand side of the blog.
You should still see some of the 'Ha Ha Comics' that have recently been uploaded.

Over the last year, a number of 'Funny Animal' books have been reviewed and discussed there.
The threads are never really closed, so if you want to comment on older choice, feel free.   
Keep your eyes open - New choice Monday. not a funny animal book, but one you should find quite interesting as a cartoonist!

Welcome Derek!  I am always happy to see new Funny Animal afficionados come to this forum, because we are such a minority here.  As a comic book funny animal story writer and artist, myself,  I am also always happy to see additional cartoonists join the forum, and to see their work.  So, I hope you will take Australian Panther's invitation to place some links to websites with examples of your artwork.  I also look forward to your commenting on funny animal comics featured on this website, adding another educated view, and hope that you will uncover dusty Golden Age Gems that we've somehow overlooked.
