I remember as a kid on vacation with my dad and brother discovering this comic and a few other old Treasure Chests in a bin at a second hand shop. This cover story terrified me and prompted me to show it to my friends and family. The authors were actually rather prescient in predicting the direction this country was headed. The part in the comic about occupiers destroying historical monuments and people being afraid to say certain things in public are two examples. Today, we have senators who openly advocate socialism, which is the next step toward communism. Yet students today are not taught the dangers of communism. Who would have thought that I would live to see so many of the predictions coming true?

Anyone who kept up with current events during the 50's and 60's, especially those who had read their history books. These days the only "history" books found in some schools may well be those written by Howard Zinn or Ward Churchill.

A good example of Internet propaganda would be the supposed speech by Chief Seattle.
It was all over the net after Y2K and later turned out to be an extract from a 1950's movie script. The actual speech published in news papers of the day was very different and in fact carried a message almost in direct opposition to the movie script version.
Unfortunately few of todays young people get their history from any other source than movies and Communist screeds disguised as scholarly tomes.
