I'm Australian, We play Cricket, not Baseball, at a national level. We do have social baseball clubs, but Baseball is way down the list of sports. [Although, I'm told the standard of our equivalent of 'Little League' is high enough for scouts from the US to keep their eyes on the players.]
And yet, Due to TV and Movies, the team the Yankees and the names Casey Stengel, Joe Dimaggio, Yogi Berra, and Mickey Mantle are all well-known to me.

Again, in the UK baseball is way down the list. We have our own version called rounders which is played at school. In Sussex, there's a folk version called stoolball:

I'd never heard of Casey but the other names ring a bell. Wasn't Joe DiMaggio married to Marilyn - and Yogi famous for his quotes 'No one goes there anymore - it's too crowded'?

Yes, we played Rounders too! And Joe was married to Marilyn - and never stopped loving her apparently.
Any Yogi? Had a cartoon character named after him. D-oh?
