The Kit Carson is reprinted British material. I think the Buck Jones is, too, but I'm not familiar with it. Boy, the lettering is lousy.

Both stories are reprints of strips from Cowboy Comics (Cowboy Picture Library)  I might be able to figure out which # had the originals but it'll take time.
Partial success. Kit Carson is from Cowboy Comics #4, 1950.
