Best of the three! Still copying from stills, but the inking here is the best of the lot and McHale has had a shave.
I always liked the Dell books but always gave the Comedy TV programs a miss, because compared to the real thing, they just weren't funny. You can't do comedy timing in a comic book. And the art was rarely something to write home about.

Thanks for the positive review on this third entry. I will definitely check it out based on your recommendation. 

What you say is largely true on TV comedy adaptations in comics or the prose tie-in novelizations. Rarely do they ever match the source material, but given the difference in mediums, I guess it?s to be expected. They can still be fun to check out though, unless it?s like the first McHALE?S NAVY comic which exasperated me more than it entertained!
