El Capitan Trueno or El Jabato
« on: January 06, 2023, 05:20:57 PM »

I don’t know how to start in this forum, so I think something childish. I don’t know if there’re around many funs of old Spanish comics. When we were children we’re reading the adventures of “Capitan Trueno” and “El Jabato”. Both comics had the same writer V. Mora but different illustrators, M. Ambrós and F. Darnis. Although the majority read both comics, every hero had his fanatics. So there was a continuing debate about the better comic, which started about who was the stronger hero and finished about who had the prettier girlfriend. Now 50 years after, I really reminisce these ages and all these childhood debates. So I take the chance for a poll, hoping that I’m not the only one fun of them here…lol.

Definitely Capitan Trueno - on this poll.  But had you included El Guerrero del Antifaz, I'd have voted for him.
Although not Spanish, (I'm Scottish) I love old Spanish comics.

El Guerrero del Antifaz didn’t edit in my country. I learn about him in internet.

I found this! El Guerrero del Antifaz contra Capitan Trueno fight!

Look like there aren’t many Spanish around or they don’t find the polls interesting ;D ;D ;D. But I’m not disappointed… lol. I think that I have the way to participate somebody in a poll even if he ignores the comics. So my next one will ask some easier and more interesting…I think…

I didn't set out to ignore the poll, billbill. However I'd heard of Capitan Trueno but not El Jabato, so I couldn't judge them fairly. I'm in the USA and before the Internet it was nearly impossible to find Spanish comics. The only reason I knew about Capitan T was because he was mentioned by Carlos Gimenez in an interview in some Spanish fanzine I stumbled across (it might have been BANG). Gimenez also talked about El Guerrero del Antifaz. That was some 50 years ago! Thanks to CB+ I can finally read these and other Spanish classics.

It’s okay, buddies. I’m not complaining, I just tried to make some humor. The next polls would be with my beloved comic heroines, so everybody can make a choice, just looking the photos, still if he/she hasn’t knew the comics. You have a lot of stuffs here and everybody can enjoy his time. Thanks for the feed backs.

I was pleased to see someone else going on about El Capitan.  Thank you.
I'm looking forward to seeing which heroines you come up with.

Well, I will stay for now at these comics and their female characters and if it’s going well, I will continue with Enrique Romero women, Barreiro & Zanotto, Jordi Bernet etc. Don’t misunderstand me (or you’re free to make it ;D ;D ;D) but I think that I’m addicted to polls.
