Thank you very much! These are not live on the download site!  ;D

PS: While we already have the JVJ versions of these, these are a bit smaller, and may be useful for some members.

This is the wonderful legacy of that distinctive Charlton approach to production standards and attention to detail:

The indicia on these comics do say Volume 1, but the 1953-1955 series should have been Volume 2.  These are not the same comics as the JVJ issues from the 1945-48 series.

:o :o :o Really? wow...that's pretty interesting. I hope that Narf or Jon can fix these up properly for better cataloging.

OY!

Here's a suggestion. Since Charlton listed both the 40s and 50s series Vol 1, perhaps listing them as series 1 and series 2 might help. Either that or label the 50s series Vol 2.

Should it be done like the GCD?  Title X (1940 Series) and Title X (1950 Series).  That way, no questions asked.

OK...grabbing the bull by the horns...I am in the process of downloading each, checking which series it is from, modifying the tag and adding a cover thumbnail.

I hate to tell you but Charlton also did the same thing with Strange Suspense Stories. #1 in the sixties restart is actually listed as vol. 3 in the indicia, while #2-9 are listed as vol.1. Who knows what they were thinking?
