Howzabout an "Unsorted" File?
« on: November 05, 2006, 12:36:20 PM »

Perhaps an "Unsorted" folder would be useful for the dozens of strange off-brand comics from the Golden Age. It might be a convenient way to queue up the comics until the mods create a legit folder/category for it.

I did create a folder for people to upload files to but I guess I could change its permissions and rename it unsorted so people can download from it etc because the old folder just confused people so if it gets renamed to unsorted it might make more sense and a staging area for comics without areas yet

Just so long as people remember to only upload public domain comics, no Marvel, DC, Dell, EC or any of their imprints, no king features strips. Must be reasonably clearly public domain, if not sure please ask before uploading

Well the appoval process will still be inplace so hopefully any none golden age comics won't get past us and VIP's will soon be able to upload and not need approval but if they are VIP's they should know not to upload non golden age comics etc.

Serj,
if you are serious about keeping non public domain books of the site you really should take down
Blackhawk 108 [Jan'57] - on.  Those are the DC books.

You probably also want to be careful to avoid DC reprints of fawcett and other PD titles. I was checking my Whiz files and I have a couple of those, notably #2 in a millenium edition.

No we do not want any of the DC reprints, since they are not public domain even though the originals are, so if anyone notices any would you please let us know
