Has the world compromised CB+?  Are the sexual innuendo ads located at the bottom of this site appropriate for families to enjoy and respond to this site?  I am losing faith.

The only ads I see embedded in CB+ are Mark's fundraising ads.
I should point out that al panels and jokes in those ads are from Comics that are already somewhere on CB+, many of them for years, most of them published in the 40s and 50's when standards were a lot stricter than they are now in 2025.

Mark's fundraising ads are not the issue - It is the ads located at the bottom of this site - I will name a few of them - 'Women's tennis: best pics' - 'adults only all inclusive' - '40 women's tennis fails' - 'find the hottest 55+ singles' - that compromise the mission and integrity of this site.

They don't appear when I log on to CB+, never seen them.
General Qusstion ( for anydody else reading this post) - Is anybody else seeing them?

Hi Lyons!

I've hopefully restricted these now. We have a mixture of ads from Google and also my "nagging" ones. If the site detects ad-blockers it just delivers mine. Mystery solved and a more family friendly site

I was confused when I read lyons post. It didn't make sense because I had never seen the ads. I connect to our site via Brave or vivaldi.  Perhaps that stops them.

I had seen them, but wasn't sure of the last time, but now that I'm answering I see an ad reading "Jessica Tarlov, her bikini photo leaves nothing to imagination-proof in pic".

Hovering my mouse over it I see it's a tracenep dot admaster dot cc. Not sure if that's the ad company or what, but hopefully that'll help Mark with the troublemaking ad company.

All our external ads are delivered via Google Adsense. Who (ad wise) are the most reputable in the business I've chopped a few more categories. So hopefully (I guess) there will be less flesh to see, but also less spondulicks in our coffers

If you are running with an ad-blocker the site's code detects the fact and just shows our inhouse ads. Which is why people are seeing different things.

As I think I've mentioned before, I am not a fan of adblockers as the revenue from ads helps sites pay their way. The web would be a very different and sparser world if there weren't ads.

We certainly wouldn't have made it to here. So that's one But as time has gone on ad revenue for a lot of sites (such as ours) has fallen quite considerably. But we are lucky as donations and annual sponsorship help us pay our way. Which is why I'll try to block the bikini babes
