Happy Birthday CB+
« on: July 23, 2025, 12:43:35 PM »

As we are being reminded, CB+ is 19 years old on 24/07/25.
Long may she reign and all those who sail with her.
To all of those who work behind the scenes, take a bow .Have a beer on me!
Cheers!

And also the "previous generation" who actually started us up (mainly residing at DCM now). Yoc would know more about the pioneer days. Narfstar was an early bird as well I think

A little before my time, but I think both sites started off as Golden Age Comics, then there was a disagreement(?) and some founded the Digital Comics Museum, and Golden Age Comics turned into Comic Books Plus.

Or, at least, that was the impression I had from reading the older posts back when I found the DCM and CB+.

Happy Birthday CB+!  :D

That's pretty much it in a nutshell! All water under the bridge and we are great friends with DCM!

Happy birthday CB+ and all who sail in her ;D
Even though I've been here for some time, I'm still amazed at the community, enthusiasm, friendship we have.
CB+ has been a great thing for me, so ta muchly to all involved.

Late for the party but happy to see it happen!
I joined GAC fairly early (I think I was member #7 or 9?).
Many, many happy returns to Mark for all his time and efforts to restore and improve on the GAC.  And to the rest of the staff for their work!
She's never looked better!  Happy Birthday CB+!

May she have many more!

I was late to the party also.
Surprised how few of us responded.  Was I correct to mention the community?
( My excuse? Been ill with a bad case of food poisoning which followed a nasty bug which laid me low for a while)
I wonder if Karl will comment on this post. No pictures so perhaps not.  I wasn't a pretty sight. ::)

I came VERY late "to the party", only joining CB+ and DCM in 2019, although I found them in 2016, and started copying individual stories and some rare books by making screen shots, back then.  It's been a great source to fill in the books missing from my collection, especially books from the 1930s and early '40s, and the rare giveaway comics.  It's added very much to my knowledge of the comic book industry during The Golden Age.  I was amazed by the knowledge of the long-time hard core collectors here, answering almost every question I have.  It's become a very big part of my life in my (now almost complete) retirement.

A big thanks to The Comics buyers, indexers, editors uploaders, website operators and moderators, and posters willing to share their knowledge and links to books and articles about them.

And here's to many more years of saving thses art and literature treasures for posterity, and many more years of doing this!
