Hi all,

I see I originally joined in 2007 but it's been a long time since I visited. I'm hoping to be able to contribute some British girls' comics in the not too distant future.

Hi marionette.  Good to have you back. Drop Mark or me a note of what you have for the library please before you upload.
Just in case.
You might have noticed we have added a lot of comics to various sections.
If you're OK with it, remind us of your tastes in comics.  And please join in, or start conversations.

 marionette,

What he said!

Being a bloke I never read many 'girls' comics, but in maturity, I am enjoying those on the site.
The more the merrier.

In the words of John Sebastian - paraphrased by me:-

Welcome back
Your dreams were your ticket out
Welcome back
To that same old place that you laughed about

Well, the names have all changed
Since you hung around
But those dreams have remained
And they've turned around

Who'd have thought they'd lead you
(Who'd have thought they'd lead you)
Back here where we need you?
(Back here where we need you?)

Yeah, we tease her a lot
'Cause we got her on the spot
Welcome back

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back

Welcome back
We always could spot a friend
Welcome back
And I smile when I think how you must have been

And I know what a scene
You were learnin' in
Was there somethin' that
Made you come back again?

And what could ever lead you
(What could ever lead you)
Back here where we need you?
(Back here where we need you?)

Yeah, we tease her a lot
'Cause we got her on the spot
Welcome back

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back

And I know what a scene
You were learnin' in
Was there somethin' that
Made you come back again?

And what could ever lead you
(What could ever lead you)
Back here where we need you?
(Back here where we need you?)

Yeah, we tease her a lot
'Cause we got her on the spot
Welcome back

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back

Yeah, we tease her a lot
(Welcome back, welcome back)
'Cause we got her on the spot
(Welcome back, welcome back)

Yeah, we tease her a lot
'Cause we got her on the spot
Welcome back

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back

Cheers.

Thanks for the warm welcome! My main interest is British girls' comics, although I also like a lot of the more American productions. My particular interest is female characters, as they were a bit fewer and further between in the Golden Age.

I must admit my favourite comics are a little outside the focus of this collection, as I have a particular fondness for the more peculiar and bizarre girls' comics from the late 1960's to mid 1970's, but I've lately taken an interest in some earlier ones that are covered and I hope to contribute.

Hello, Marionette--Being US-based I knew nothing of British girls' comics until I discovered CB+. I like many of the girls' picture libraries, especially the "secret society" tales. What little I know about them ends around 1960. Your comment piques my curiosity. What are some of these "peculiar and bizarre" girls' comics from the 60s and 70s? You mean like Misty?
