hi everyone! i joined this site because i'm a student intern working for an accessibility app for the blind and vision impaired. my job is to create content for the app, which means creating alt text and descriptions for comics. we can only use public domain content for the app, so this site is a wonderful resource!

i'd love to hear peoples' favorites! i landed on transcribing Clue Comics for now but it was honestly a random choice since i've never read these kinds of comics before. i do really enjoy manga but unfortunately it will be a very long time until my favorites are public domain. any manga fans have western comic recommendations?

The average member here would appear to have become comic book aficionados before the advent of Manga. So your perspective is an interesting one. Full marks to you for the work you are doing.
I myself am more familiar with Japanese characters through films. I'm a Fan of Initial D, Appleseed, Captain Harlock, a few others I can't immediately recall and I have a number of  Hayao Miyazaki's wonderful creations. I hope you get some responses to your requests. Again welcome!
